Suståne 4-6-4 is an organic slow release starter fertilizer and soil builder for all types of plants. Suståne 4-6-4 is the ideal application for general feeding of vegetables, roots, herbs, fruits, and flowers. Allowed for use in the production of certified organic crops. Usage and Application Rates: For best results, water after application. Application rates vary based on soil conditions, plant species and desired rate of growth. It is recommended to have soil tested prior to applying any fertilizers.
Coverage: 20 lb. covers 1,000 square ft. at 0.67 lb. of nitrogen per square ft.Details
Apply 1 cup of Suståne for every 10 square feet of bed space or 3 lb. per 100 square feet (126 grams per square meter). Incorporate into the top 4” (10 cm) of soil.
Apply 1 cup of Suståne for every 10 ft of row length (45 grams per m).
Apply ¼ cup of Suståne into the hole prior to planting transplants. For established plants, topdress and work ¼ cup into the top 2”- 4” (5 - 10 cm) of soil around the base of the plant. Application rates for specific plants are available at www.sustane.com.
Incorporate Suståne into the potting mix at a rate of 2 cups per cubic foot of mix (12 grams / cubic liter).
